The protection principle of the conductive suit for live work is to use the electrostatic shielding effect of the metal conductor in the electric field, because the conductive suit containing metal fibers is essentially a Faraday cage with the appearance of the human body. Protective function
1. Shielding electric field
When the human body is close to the ultra-high voltage wire or equal potential with the ultra-high voltage wire, a higher body surface electric field will appear. Moreover, due to the complex shape of the human body and the different azimuth distances between the various parts of the human body and the charged body, if shielding measures are not used, the operator will feel severe numbness and irritation on their skin. After wearing conductive suit, each part of the human body in a high electric field forms an equipotential shielding surface, which effectively protects the human body from high-voltage electric fields and electromagnetic waves.
2. Bypass current
The charging and discharging transient process occurs when the human body touches and leaves objects with different potentials. After wearing the conductive suit, the human body and the conductive suit form a parallel circuit. Because the resistance of the conductive suit is small, the current flowing through the conductive suit is about 99% of the total current, most of the transient discharge current is bypassed. Similarly, the conductive suit also bypasses the steady-state capacitive current.
3. Replace the potential transfer line
After putting on the conductive suit, gloves and clothes are connected as a whole, instead of the potential transfer line, the equipotential operator can directly touch and disconnect the live wire, eliminating the operation steps of potential transfer and simplifying the operation procedure.

The conductive suit, made of uniform conductor material and fiber material, is suitable for operators in live work on electrical equipment with AC 10kV~750kV, DC ±500kV and below.
