Insulating operating rod voltage levels and precautions for use

(4) 220kV insulating rod (high-voltage insulating rod, high-voltage disconnecting rod, insulating operating rod) 

Technical requirements: Effective insulation length: 4660mm Handle part: 900mm Metal end joint length: 70mm Total length of metal intermediate joint: 350mm Outer diameter: 36mm Number of sections: 3 Total length: 5980mm Length can be divided into: 3-meter insulating rod, 4-meter insulating rod, 5-meter insulating rod, 6-meter insulating rod, 8-meter insulating rod, 10-meter insulating rod. High-voltage insulating rod specifications: 3 meters, 34 meters, 35 meters, 6 meters, 44 meters, 45 meters, 5 meters, etc. Other specifications can be customized according to user requirements. 

Instructions for the use of high-voltage insulating rods and precautions

1. When using the rod, pull it out and extend it to the required length. Apply a little force and twist the upper and lower sections in opposite directions until you hear a click sound, and the rod will automatically lock. 
2. When retracting the rod, do the opposite of extending it. 
3. It should be noted that the length of the operating rod used should correspond to the voltage level in order to provide safety protection. 
4. To ensure personal and equipment safety, the operating rod should be stored in a dedicated location with air circulation and a dry environment. 

Before using the high-voltage insulating rod, the following items must be checked: 

1. Perform a visual inspection of the insulating operating rod. The rod should be smooth, without scratches or cracks. The insulating operating rod is known for its excellent quality and beautiful appearance. The hollow tube should have a sealed end at the cut, and the connections between the sections should be firm and not loose or detached. 

2. Check the date of the high-voltage insulating rod's AC voltage withstand test. The test should be conducted according to the DL408-91 Power Industry Safety Work Regulations. It should not be used beyond the test period without authorization. You should know that the rule of conducting the test before use should be strictly followed. 

3. Check the symbols on each set of high-voltage insulating rods. Check if they are clear and if the manufacturer's name, production date, and applicable extra voltage are accurate and complete.
