Differences between hard hat and safety helmet

Although the hard hat and safety helmet are both head protection products with very similar functions, they are still different. Therefore, please do not substitute the two. Today, let us give you a brief explanation.

1.Difference in structural composition

2.Difference in usage

Hard hats are generally used in the working environment with falling objects to protect workers or reduce the probability of head injury from external forces.

Safety helmets are generally used in driving to protect the head safety of drivers or passengers, so that they can get more protection on the premise of enjoying speed and passion.

3.Difference in performance 

Hard hats usually weigh 400g, but safety helmets weigh more than 1kg. It means that one safety helmet is equal to the weight of three hard hats. This is mainly because safety helmets offer additional accessories such as head protection and goggles.

4.Difference in protection scope

Hard hats are generally designed to protect the user or minimize head injury from falling objects. Whereas the safety helmet protects the head with 360 degrees without dead angle.

Furthermore，hard hats have much higher impact protection than safety helmets.
