Basic requirements for flame retardant protective clothing

Flame resistant clothing is usually used in industrial furnaces, metal thermal processing, welding, chemical industry, petroleum and other places. The main purpose is to reduce the fire damage caused by the burning of clothing. There are strict regulations for metallurgy, chemical industry, petroleum, forestry, fire protection, electric power and so on. The flame resistant clothing conforms to industry regulations. According to the particularity of different types of work and workers' workplaces, the listed precautions for corresponding flame-resistant protective clothing:

1.Workplaces that are prone to electrostatic sparks and have electrostatic requirements, such as in Zone 0 and zone 1, and the minimum ignition energy of combustibles less than 0.25j, should be equipped with all cotton flame resistant clothing with anti-static performance.

2.Where dust is easily emitted in the workplace, the flame resistant clothing with dust-proof performance shall be provided.

3.In workplaces with metal droplet splashing, welding clothes shall be provided. 

4.Workplace with open fire should have white flag cloth flame-resistant work clothes with good heat insulation and heat radiation resistance or flame-resistant work clothes covered with aluminum film.

5.In high-voltage live working places,  shielding clothing for live working shall be provided.

6.In workplaces with high humidity or a large amount of vaporizable liquid, flame-resistant work clothes with waterproof function should be equipped to prevent the protective clothes from absorbing water and vaporizing, increasing the risk of scalding;

7.In workplaces with flammable liquids, flame resistant work clothes with anti-seepage function shall be equipped to prevent the work clothes from losing flame resistant function after absorbing flammable liquids

8.In workplaces with corrosive chemicals, flame resistant work clothes with chemical protection performance shall be equipped to prevent the work clothes from penetrating harmful chemicals and causing injury to workers
