Why is the service life of safety shoes upper shorter?

Considering that the sole is exposed to a much harsher environment than the upper when design the shoes, so it uses comfortable and breathable natural leather to make the upper and uses durable stuffy artificial materials to make the sole. Therefore, except in very special circumstances, the damage of shoes is mostly from the upper.

Of course, it can prolong the life of leather if use it better, for example, you need to polish your shoes often, alternate to wear between two or more pairs of shoes, reduce exposure to rain water affected with damp, don’t use hair dryer to blow your shoes with hot air, don't roast your shoes over the fire, reduce the use of the upper to kick sharp or hard objects.

So，today we would like to see what factors to lead the short life of shoes uppers.  

1、Because strong acid and alkali have serious destructive to leather, it should avoid to make direct contact with shoes, please wash the leather with plenty of water to prevent damage once touched. 

2、Leather is a natural product, the damp workplace is easy to cause bacteria to grow and decay, it should be as far as possible to keep the shoes dry, and extend the service life of safety shoes.

3、Too high temperature will accelerate the aging and organizational change of safety shoes leather, it should try to avoid close to high temperature.

4、Safety shoes with seamless toe should be used in places where cutting, welding and shoes head are common to wear and tear.
