Definition: conductive suit also called equipotential pressure equalizing clothing. It is a clothing made of conductive materials and fiber materials. After being put on, the conductive suit for live work will form a closed protective cover to protect the human body from high-voltage electric fields and electromagnetic waves. Influence. 

Function: during equipotential operation, the human body directly touches the high-voltage live parts, and the human body in the high-voltage electric field will have dangerous current flow, which endangers the safety of the human body. The personal safety of the staff can be ensured by wearing a full set of shielding suits (equal voltage suits). The clothing is firmly connected by flexible joints that are easy to disassemble to form a good conductive system. These components are equipped with connectors, namely clothes and gloves, pants; pants, socks and shoes, so that the human body and the high-voltage equipment environment form an equipotential. Using this principle, it plays a role of shielding and protection.

Application: workers performing live work on high-voltage equipment with AC voltage of 110KV-750KV.

Precaution

1. Choose products with good shielding and shunting effect and spark resistance, and the surface resistivity from hand to sock should not be greater than 10 ohms.

2. The appearance quality should be carefully checked, especially before use, if it is dust-proof and stained, it should be cleaned. If the wire is broken or oxidized due to washing, etc., it cannot be used again.

3. When using, you must connect the wires of the clothes and hats, gloves, socks, shoes and other parts in the specified order and ensure good contact. Do not let the wires come into contact with the skin and separate them with underwear. Pay special attention to the neck. The underwear cannot wear synthetic fiber fabric to prevent the electric spark generated by the electric short circuit from causing the fabric to melt and stick to the skin, which will increase the degree of burning.

4. It is strictly forbidden to short-circuit the ground current, no-load circuit and coupling capacitor current through the shielding suit during equipotential work.

5. After use, the shielding suit must be kept properly. Hang it in a special closet with a hanger, keep it dry and clean, reduce folding and friction as much as possible, and avoid contact with dirt and water vapor to avoid affecting electrical performance.
